July, 2006: The Boston Summer Project

July 1, 2006

24 students from 11 universities in Boston are here for the summer sharing the gospel. When we invited them, here’s what we said:

Imagine a summer that will be like no other. Imagine a summer that will change your life. Imagine a summer in Boston that will impact this city for Jesus Christ.

Imagine living in a fraternity house with 24 other student leaders from around the city. Living together in community, growing together and making a difference in Boston, together.

Imagine together, being developed in your relationship with the Lord and in your capacity as a minister of the gospel on your campus. On the Boston Summer Project you will be developed in the areas of evangelism, discipleship, as well as learning and using tools and strategies for a lifetime of effectiveness for the gospel of Christ. Each student will be part of a small group lead by a staff person with Campus Crusade for Christ. Each student will also be coached in the
development of a personal ministry plan for the following school year. Students will also be given the chance to lead the project as the staff leave mid-way through the summer.

Imagine hearing from experts from around the country who are coming to Boston to help you in your desire to reach your campus for Christ. We are also working on a good theology teacher to help us in our desire for depth and insight into the Word of God. That was the pitch. 24 amazing students (12 men and 12 women) signed up and have been here for almost a month. Would you pray for one each day in July? Here are their names:

Patty, Frances, Molly, Jessica, Ashley, Caroline, Faith, Marjorie, Amy, Ellane, Heidi, Sarah, Frank, Paul, Sean, Alex, Stefan, Dan, Harry, Ryan, Joel, Kurt, Todd, Brian

I thank you so much for your continued support.

God Bless,

Brian
